Relationship Refresh: POSTPONED UNTIL THE FALL

Led by TJ Walsh, MA LPC with Joshua Hostetter, MA LPC we are offering Relationship Refresh, a weekend workshop where you and your partner will learn how to use information from the new science of love to explore negative patterns and conflicts that erode away at love, safety, and security.

You will learn important skills as you develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your partner, which will help you heal past hurts and change patterns that create distance. This workshop, based on Dr. Sue Johnson’s ground-breaking book, Hold Me Tight: Seven Conversations for a Lifetime of Love, introduces a well-researched and effective approach that helps couples move from frustration and loneliness toward the creation of a secure, loving bond.

This workshop for couples will help you improve communication and strengthen your connection with one another. In a safe, supportive environment, you will learn about where things go awry and how to address these bumps, see video examples of how other couples improved their relationships, and have the opportunity to practice in private with your partner.

You will learn how to:

  • Address stuck patterns and negative cycles

  • Make sense of your own emotions

  • Learn more about your partner’s inner world

  • Develop deeper understanding and closeness

Cost: $125 per couple (includes cost of workshop, coffee service, and lunch on Saturday)

Community Workshop

Feeling full, in a hurried world:

How to let rest and self-care be fulfilling.

One of the most common responses to the question, "How are you doing?" is "Busy." Being busy is the new normal for so many of us in American culture. And somewhere along the way we attribute rest as laziness, and yet all talk about the need to take better care of ourselves. But if you are like me you have found that taking time for yourself can all too often just be one more thing you feel you have to do. As we look at emotional and spiritual self-care we will look to address the cultural implications of engaging in a daily routine that leaves you feeling full, and able to get through the hurried culture we live in.

Location: Parker Ford Church 20 Rinehart Rd Pottstown, PA 19465

Stolen Joy Workshop

“Depression is often a subtle progression in one’s life.  For some it can knock us down for a day or two at a time, and for others be a general down feeling we carry for days.  In all the ways it presents itself in our lives, one thing is true, it steals our joy for living. In speaking on this emotion Joshua hopes to help grow your understanding of depression in yourself, or others, and provide you with some tools and resources to respond and prevent this sadness in your life.”

Invite a friend, colleague, neighbor, or family member to the workshop. Your invitation may make a big difference in that person's life. No registration required.

Workshop will be held at: Parker Ford Church

20 Rinehart Rd Pottstown PA 19465
